Can we accept a prior year energy draft for payment on a current account?
No, prior year drafts are no longer valid after December 15th of the year they are issued, however we do give the energy providers a 30-day grace period to submit the draft to the Michigan Department of Treasury for reimbursement only if the draft was received from the customer postmarked on or before December 15th.
