What should we do if the amount of the draft exceeds the balance owed?

If there is an outstanding bill, you may apply the remaining amount of the energy draft to the balance due once the current bill has been paid. If the box on the bottom of the draft is checked the overpayment should be refunded to the customer. The customer can elect to keep the overpayment created by the draft on their account for up to a year.
