Is my public pension taxable if I moved from another state into Michigan?

Pension income is allocated to the state of residency at the time it is received. The amount of public pension from another state that may be deducted on a Michigan return, based on year of birth of the taxpayer or older spouse on a joint return, is outlined in Revenue Administration Bulletin 2018-21.
