Is there penalty and interest due on a late filed return?
Late fiduciary payments are subject to a penalty of 5 percent of the tax due. After the second month, penalty will increase by an additional 5 percent per month, or fraction thereof, up to a maximum of 25 percent of the tax due. If the fiduciary payment is late, compute and add the applicable penalty and interest to the amount due. View latest interest rates.
