Treasury is reviewing the recently enacted tax law changes, including the new Marijuana Wholesale Tax. Developing clear and accurate information for tax stakeholders is our top priority. This guidance will be posted to our website in the coming weeks.
Why is my return reviewed every year?
All returns are subject to a manual review by the Michigan Department of Treasury.
Selection for review in one tax year does not increase or decrease the chance of your return being selected in future years.
Michigan law prevents the Department from discussing specific criteria for review of returns. If the review results in an adjustment to your return, you will receive a letter of explanation.
