The Library of Michigan provides support for school libraries and school library staff through programs and resources. The flagship program is the School Libraries 21st Century (SL 21) program, which are benchmarks for a quality school library program. Libraries can earn certification in this voluntary program to demonstrate the quality of the school library in an individual school building. The Michigan eLibrary (MeL) also provides eResources for PreK-12 students and teachers, as well as materials for library users across the state. School Librarians can use the Ask Your School Librarian about MeL handout with teachers and administrators.
