Library of Michigan Staff Certification Program
The Library of Michigan library staff certification program offers a recognized certificate of achievement based on education and experience, and it supports the statutory requirements for public libraries to qualify for State Aid to Public Libraries funding. Complete the Library Staff Certification Application to begin.
Once all required certification materials are received, the applicant can expect a response via email and their certificate and letter of certification to arrive via the United States Postal Service, typically within 3 weeks.
Beginning Workshop for Level 3 and Level 4 Applicants
Beginning Workshop is now Available! This learning experience is now offered online at the Library of Michigan's Niche Staff Skills Academy. Completion of this workshop is necessary to receive a Level 3 or Level 4 staff certification from the Library of Michigan.
