Sales, Use and Withholding Tax Due Dates for Holidays and Weekends
The State observes the following holidays each year. If the due date of your return falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or one of these holidays, your payments must post on the next business day immediately following the weekend or holiday.
If you pay by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) method your transmission must be made on business day before the due date. Therefore if the normal transmission day is Saturday, Sunday or a holiday you must transmit your payment the business day before the weekend or holiday.

- Martin Luthor King Jr. Day (Observed Federal Holiday)
- Presidents Day (Observed Federal Holiday)
- Memorial Day
- Juneteenth
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Columbus Day
- Election Day (General election day - even numbered years)
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Day After Thanksgiving
- Christmas Eve Day (December 23 if Christmas Eve Day is on a Saturday)
- Christmas Day
- New Year's Eve Day (December 30 if New Year's Eve Day is on a Saturday)
As a general rule, if the holiday falls on a Saturday, it is observed on Friday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, it is observed on a Monday.
