Why is there a convenience fee and why am I paying for this?

The convenience fee is charged by Paymentus to cover the cost of processing the transaction. The fees are based on the amount of the payment or the payment type, as follows:

  • eCheck: no fee
  • Credit card payment: 2.3% of the total payment
  • Debit card payment: $3.95 flat fee
