Details regarding the waiver process will be shared soon.
This annual one-day event provides new directors with an introduction to the information necessary to administer a public library in Michigan. This includes providing an opportunity to gain an understanding of services and programs related to Library of Michigan that can support a director in carrying out their responsibilities. Attendance at these workshops is necessary for director certification as part of the qualification criteria for State Aid to Public Libraries.
Registration cost includes materials, snacks and lunch. To register for this or any LM event, visit LM's calendar of events.
The event begins with registration and refreshments from 8:30 to 9:00am. Sessions will conclude at 4:30pm. Attendees are invited to attend a post session dinner to network with their colleagues.
Check the Advanced Director Workshop page for content presented at that event.
The New Director Workshop is supported with funds from the Library of Michigan Foundation.
