Library of Michigan
Due to COVID-19 pandemic restrictions this event was not be held in 2020. Individuals that needed to attend this event to meet the staffing requirements for State Aid to Public Libraries purposes will be provided with a waiver. An online course will be released in spring of 2021 to replace the in-person version of the content.
This is an online course, to be available in spring of 2021, providing new directors with an introduction to the information necessary to administer a public library in Michigan. This includes providing an opportunity to gain an understanding of services and programs related to Library of Michigan that can support a director in carrying out their responsibilities. Completion of the course is necessary for director certification as part of the qualification criteria for State Aid to Public Libraries. The event is supported with funds from the Library of Michigan Foundation and is made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
Check the Advanced Director Workshop page for details about that course.
