Library Cards for State Employees

All employees of the State of Michigan (SOM) are eligible for Library of Michigan library cards.

This card allows the holder to

  • Check out materials from the Library of Michigan's circulating collections
  • Borrow materials through MeLCat, Michigan's statewide library catalog and borrowing service, for pickup at the LM or delivery to one's office via ID Mail
  • Access online resources especially for state employees

State of Michigan government employees may apply for library cards online by completing the form below or in person at the Library's 2nd floor Reference Desk. In-person suspended due to COVID19 restrictions. The Library building is open Monday - Friday, 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. Building is currently closed due to COVID19 restrictions. Library staff are working remotely.
