Water Wells by County with Lithology
The data in these files is derived from Wellogic, the EGLE statewide groundwater database. It is extracted daily and posted for download to the general public. The file contains lithological data, locational (XY coordinates) data, and select well construction data.
Users may also download the data by region by searching for Wellogic on the State of Michigan GIS Open Data Portal. This site contains locational data and select well construction data by region but does not contain the associated lithology files. Further, there is a quality control check on location that may exclude a limited number of wells from Wellogic.
