DTMB's LMISI team receives C2ER Award for their Women in the Michigan Workforce report
October 20, 2021
In June, DTMB's Bureau of Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives (LMISI) was awarded the Research Award for Projects Supporting Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for their Women in the Michigan Workforce report, from the Council for Community and Economic Research (C2ER) at their annual conference. The award-winning report examines key information on the role of women in the workforce, addressing both recent challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the longer-term gender disparities in the Michigan economy and labor market.
The C2ER Awards program recognizes the contributions of research activities to the success of community, economic, and workforce development initiatives at the local, regional, or state level. The theme for the 2021 annual conference was "The Great Pivot: Reinvention for Recovery and Resilience" and focused on capturing a diverse range of economic and workforce development perspectives that illustrate how research has responded to the unexpected in 2020 and prepares for the future.
