LEXINGTON, Ky – The National Association of State Chief Administrators (NASCA) announced the appointment of Michelle Lange as an Alternate on its Executive Committee.
Lange serves as the acting director for the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget (DTMB), heading up the state agency that provides information technology, business and administrative services to Michigan's residents, businesses, state agencies, state employees, and retirees.
“I am looking forward to serving as an alternate on the NASCA Executive Committee and working alongside my peers from across the country to transform government,” said Lange. “In Michigan, we strive for continuous improvement in all areas of government and have greatly benefited from the thought leadership and partnerships developed through NASCA. It is a privilege to have the opportunity to give back to the organization and help chart its course for the future.”
With extensive experience in government operations and a passion for creating opportunities for all, Lange sets strategic direction and ensures the timely delivery of services to more than 48,000 state employees and 9.9 million Michigan residents. With an annual budget of $1.4 billion, DTMB employs more than 2,800 staff in IT, procurement, cybersecurity, facilities administration and other business services.
Prior to her appointment as acting director, Lange served as the department’s chief deputy director and also held the position of director of Executive Direction and Operations for DTMB with responsibilities for the organization's strategic planning, communications, and legislative relations.
