September 30, 2024
On Thursday, Oct. 17, the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget will host the second annual Michigan High School Cyber Summit at the Suburban Collection Showplace, in Novi, Mich. The event will bring together over 400 high school students from across the state to educate them on cybersecurity trends and best practices. In addition, the High School Cyber Summit will showcase a variety of cybersecurity career opportunities and outline the path to land those jobs.
Keynote speaker Bryan Seeley, world famous cybersecurity expert, ethical hacker, author, and former U.S. Marine, will share his expertise with students during his speech What the H@ck is Going On. Students will learn about the latest trends among hackers and criminals, who are proving to be increasingly effective at breaching corporate networks and gaining footholds using methods that go beyond typical ransomware attacks.
