2022 Michigan Cyber Summit to be held in October

LANSING, Mich. -- The 2022 Michigan Cyber Summit is back as an in-person event this year and will be held Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Mich.

This year's 11th annual Michigan Cyber Summit will bring together experts from across the country to discuss the latest cybersecurity trends impacting business, education, information technology, economic development, law enforcement, and personal safety. The event is open to the public and will feature information for individuals, students, families, business professionals, educators, law enforcement, and government officials.

“We are tremendously excited to bring the Michigan Cyber Summit back in-person,” said Michigan Chief Information Officer Laura Clark. “The event provides attendees the opportunity to hear respected speakers from the public and private sectors on how to navigate the vast world of cybersecurity. It is also a great incubator of relationships, helping to forge the partnerships that keep Michiganders safe from cyber threats of all varieties.”

The summit agenda will feature internationally recognized keynote speakers and panelists, as well as experts from across the country to lead breakout sessions on a variety of industry topics.

Michigan is recognized as a national leader in cybersecurity, and the Michigan Cyber Summit serves as a platform for regional, national, and international thought leadership.

The final round of the Governor's High School Cyber Challenge will be held onsite during the morning, with the announcement of the first, second, and third place teams to follow. The challenge is designed to prepare the next generation of cyber professionals and tests Michigan high school students' skills in information technology, computer science, and cybersecurity in a two-round statewide competition.

Online registration for the 2022 Michigan Cyber Summit is open now. The registration fee is $75 for general admission, $60 for military and government attendees, and $35 for students.
