Year-in-review infographic highlights DTMB's 2023 accomplishments

As 2023 comes to an end, DTMB would like to celebrate the many accomplishments achieved this year while carrying out the department's mission to help, connect, and solve. The DTMB team was involved in countless projects and activities throughout 2023, and the infographic that follows highlights some - but not all - of those efforts.

The State Facilities Administration completed the new, state-of-the-art Caro Psychiatric Hospital for the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services. The $85 million facility replaces the Caro Center, which was built in 1913.
With RightFax Service, DTMB supported state agencies and Michiganders with nearly 5.5 million pages of digitally transmitted documents, saving the state tens of thousands of dollars in printing and mailing costs.
The first ever High School Cyber Summit hosted over 400 students from 23 schools. Six Michigan universities participated in the inaugural event.
DTMB earned Gold-level Veteran-friendly Employer status from the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency for our efforts to recruit, hire, and retain military veterans.
DTMB IT and business teams collaborated on improvements and updated branding for MiLogin. Faster account creation time and other enhancements have led to better overall customer satisfaction.
DTMB’s Field Services team deployed nearly 28,000 computers in 2023. In addition, they also serviced over 22,000 machines.
DTMB’s Client Service Center earned HDI Support Center recertification and handled over 205,000 calls, with an average customer satisfaction rating of 97.2%.
The Michigan Office of Retirement Services launched Ask Our Experts, a series of brief videos featuring customer service staff answering common questions. Within the first seven days the videos received over 2,000 views.
DTMB’s Enterprise Portfolio Management Office completed 161 projects for our agency partners. 94% of these projects were completed on or under budget, and 87% were completed on or ahead of schedule.
DTMB’s Agency Services team completed 108 IT projects for agency partners. 95% were on budget, 86% were on schedule, and customer satisfaction was at 87%.
DTMB worked closely with the Michigan Office of Attorney General to implement a critical address confidentiality program to shield participants’ physical address by providing an official substitute address.
The Michigan Center for Data and Analytics produced 10 regional career outlooks featuring in-demand occupations across the state to help Michiganders find high-demand, and high-wage jobs.
The State of Michigan’s Procurement Services team was awarded prestigious gold and silver Cronin Awards from the National Association of State Procurement Officers. This award recognizes innovation and excellence in public procurement.
DTMB’s Office of Continuous Improvement team was awarded the 2023 Business Process Innovation Award at the National Association of State Chief Information Officers for their work on human-centered design.
