MiSTEM Network
Advisory Council
The MiSTEM Advisory Council’s work is guided by the belief that if Michigan wants to be home to the strongest STEM workforce in the nation, the state needs to change how it thinks about STEM, support K-12 STEM educators; build collaborations across business, education and communities; and ensure quality experiences for all students.
These pillars continue to drive MiSTEM’s work today.
Overview
The MiSTEM Advisory Council consists of business, higher education, K-12 education, and philanthropic leaders. It was created by the Michigan Legislature in 2015 to make recommendations that will help make Michigan a world leader in STEM education. The MiSTEM Advisory Council will publish recommendations annually.
