Effective 9/1/24: The WDCA Gaylord Hearing Site has been relocated, and Magistrate James Smith will continue to handle the cases. The WDCA Traverse City Hearing docket, formerly located at the Michigan Works! Office has been consolidated with the Gaylord Hearing docket. The new facility for both dockets is located at: 931 S. Otsego Avenue, Gaylord, MI 49735. The phone number remains 989-758-1768.
The Gaylord Hearing Site now covers the following counties of injury: Alcona, Alpena, Antrim, Benzie, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, Crawford, Emmet, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau, Manistee, Missaukee, Montmorency, Oscoda, Otsego, Presque Isle, Roscommon and Wexford.Effective October 12, 2023: Health Care Services Fee Schedule, Rules and Manuals
Effective immediately, masks are NO LONGER REQUIRED for entry at all hearing sites and state facilities. The COVID-19 Visitor Alert provides further guidance.
CMS published updated guidelines for use of non-CMS products for future medical in the Workers' Compensation Medicare Set-Aside Arrangement Reference Guide.

Michigan's injured workers and their employers are governed by the Workers' Disability Compensation Act. This Act was first adopted in 1912 and provides compensation to workers who suffer an injury on the job and protects employers' liability. The mission of the Workers' Disability Compensation Agency is to efficiently administer the Act and provide prompt, courteous and impartial service to all customers.
