2024 MRS Champion Awards

Join the Michigan Council for Rehabilitation Services (MCRS) and Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) to celebrate individuals and businesses who have made an outstanding commitment to the state's public vocational rehabilitation system during the 16th annual MRS Champion Awards!
A recording of the event will be shared with those who RSVP but are unable to attend. American Sign Language interpreters and CART captioning will be included in the event. Attendance is limited to 150 people and this registration page will close if that limit is reached.

Business Enhancement: Disability and Inclusion

During this session, Nacsha Ealy and Keisha Hall Dilligard from MRS's Business Network Division will discuss ways businesses can create a culture of accessibility to attract and retain talent inclusive of people with disabilities.
Career Connection Business Panel

The State of Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) is proud to host the local agencies and community partners of Genesee County as they celebrate National Disability Employment Awareness Month! This event is open to the public, featuring state, educational, employment & community resources that work together to assist individuals with disabilities into employment. MRS serves both businesses and individuals with disabilities who possess barriers to employment success. None of this can be made possible without community partners, so on this day, join with us in connecting job seekers to valuable resources in the community to ensure access to good jobs for all!
A Brighter Way: Overcoming Barriers to Employment with Returning Citizens

Join the Ann Arbor District MRS for a conversation regarding how A Brighter Way in Washtenaw County helps returning citizens build a stable, successful and fulfilling life. LaQuan Hill, Deputy Director with A Brighter Way, will provide information on the services available to returning citizens by the organization. In addition, this conversation will:
- Provide education and resources to assisting and working with returning citizens seeking employment
- Identify most common obstacles facing returning citizens returning to the community and seeking employment
- Answer questions regarding best practices when working with returning citizens

STEMM-Up Employer Information Sessions for Businesses
Employers can find qualified candidates to build the Michigan workforce by participating in STEMM-Up. Created through a partnership between Michigan Rehabilitation Services (MRS) and Michigan State University, STEMM-Up helps job seekers with disabilities prepare for careers in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and medicine. These information sessions are designed for businesses to gain insights on the program and connect them with skilled individuals who are seeking exciting career opportunities.
Three sessions with repeat information are being offered. Businesses are encouraged to register for one session, but can attend multiple sessions if desired. Registration is required to attend.
