MRS Public Meeting: Vendor Responsibilities When Handling Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

MRS is hosting a public meeting to discuss vendor responsibilities when handling personally identifiable information (PII). Topics of discussion will include:
- The definition and types of PII.
- The importance of not disclosing PII without written permission.
- Consequences of disclosing PII without written permission.
- Process for reporting disclosure of PII without written permission.
- Requirements when using AI tools such as ChatGPT and Copilot, including an addition to the MRS Vendor Manual regarding PII and the use of AI tools.
CART captioning and ASL interpreting will be provided. This meeting will be recorded, sent to vendors using the MRS public GovDelivery email listserv, and posted to the public MRS website at https://www.michigan.gov/leo/bureaus-agencies/mrs/mrs-for-vendors.
