MICHIGAN UIA HELPING WORKERS, EMPLOYERS IMPACTED BY GAYLORD TORNADO
Michigan UIA is partnering with Michigan Works! to offer free resources for workers and employers affected by Friday’s devastating tornado in Gaylord, Mich.

UIA staff will answer worker questions and assist with claim filing. They will also answer employer questions about their account and tax related documents as well as guide them in signing up for the Michigan Work Share program.
UIA WAIVES $431 IN FEDERAL PANDEMIC OVERPAYMENTS
The Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) announced that over 55,000 claimants will not have to pay back a total of approximately $431 million in overpayments of federal pandemic unemployment benefits that the agency previously determined to have been improperly awarded.
