Mission Statement: The Pine Lake Fund (PLF) promotes the training and placement of persons with
disabilities attending MCTI. It also promotes and supports the innovation and expansion of MCTI.
MCTI's Placement / Employment Services are available to our students and graduates for as long as
these services are needed. We partner with MCTI Trade Instructors, (MRS) Michigan Rehabilitation
Services, and other community supports to assist each student / graduate with finding employment in
their chosen trade:
• Practice Application
• Resume preparation
• Cover letter preparation
• Practice interviews
• Employment Services Seminar to include Job-seeking skills
• Individual Job Search Review Meetings with Students
• Job search videos and resources
• Transportation to interviews
• Employer follow-up assistance (job application, interview thank you letters, etc.)
• Computer and Internet access
• Assistance with local job leads and web-based job search resources (Mitalent.org, Indeed.com,
ziprecruiter.com, etc.)
• Business/Employer Directories
• Tours of businesses and employers
• Leads on job openings
• Telephone and fax machine use
• Postage for direct mailings
• Assistance in locating housing and transportation
• Graduate follow-up services
• Employment resources to assist graduation in keeping a job after placement
