Program description
MCTI’s Retail Marketing Program operates the Eagle Shack, the on-campus store. Students learn hands-on customer service/personal selling, cash handling, inventory control, merchandizing, and promotion/advertising in a real-life setting. They also receive training in National Retail Skill Standards for loss prevention and safety procedures.

Depending on skills, ability, & interests, students can participate up to 3 terms.
Job outlook
Job opportunities increase with completion of training. Starting pay may range from the current minimum wage to a higher amount depending on the location of the job.

Requirements
Students who most closely match the U.S. Department of Labor occupational profile for a Cashier are accepted for enrollment.
