The TFFS was created out of Executive Order 2021-4 and extended to December 31, 2022 by Executive Order 2021-15.

Unless otherwise noted and posted as a virtual meeting at least 18 hours before a regularly scheduled meeting begins, the Task Force will hold its regular meetings, either at the Michigan State Police Headquarters, 7150 Harris Drive, Dimondale, Michigan or the Michigan Hall of Justice, 925 W. Ottawa Street, Lansing, Michigan. The location will be indicated under the meeting date.

The 2021 TFFS meeting dates and times are listed below:

May 11, 2021, 8:30 a.m.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions placed on public gatherings, the Task Force on Forensic Science meeting scheduled at 8:30 a.m. May 11, 2021, was held virtually, in accordance with Public Act 228 of 2020. 

June 8, 2021, 9:00 a.m.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions placed on public gatherings, the Task Force on Forensic Science meeting scheduled at 9:00 a.m. June 8, 2021, was held virtually, in accordance with Public Act 228 of 2020. ?

July 20, 2021, 1:00 p.m.

The Task Force on Forensic Science meeting scheduled at 1:00 p.m., July 20, 2021, was held in-person at the Michigan State Police Headquarters located at 7150 Harris Drive, Dimondale, Michigan.  A link to the meeting was provided for those of the public who wished to attend, but couldn't make it to the in-person location.

August 10, 2021, 9:00 a.m.

The Task Force on Forensic Science meeting scheduled at 9:00 a.m., August 10, 2021, was held in-person at the Michigan Hall of Justice, Main Conference Center, First Floor, 925 W. Ottawa Street, Lansing, Michigan.  A link to the meeting was provided for those of the public who wished to attend, but couldn't make it to the in-person location.

September 28, 2021, 9:00 a.m.

November 22, 2021, 9:30 a.m.

January 25, 2022, 1:00 p.m.

March 8, 2022, 9:30 a.m.

May 10, 2022, 9:30 a.m.

July 19, 2022, 9:30 a.m.

September 20, 2022, 9:30 a.m.

The Task Force on Forensic Science meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., September 20, 2022, was held in-person for Task Force members only, at the Michigan State Police Headquarters located at 7150 Harris Drive, Dimondale, Michigan. A ZOOM link to the meeting was provided for those of the public who attended virtually, and Task Force members who couldn't make it to the in-person location.

November 1, 2022, 9:30 a.m.

The Task Force on Forensic Science meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., November 1, 2022, was held in-person for Task Force members only, at the Michigan Hall of Justice located at 925 W. Ottawa Street, Lansing, Michigan.  A ZOOM link to the meeting was provided for those of the public who attended virtually, and Task Force members who couldn't make it to the in-person location.

December 13, 2022, 9:30 a.m.

The Task Force on Forensic Science meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m., December 13, 2022 will be held virtually via ZOOM.
