Prevention Services
The Michigan State Police Prevention Services Section maintains and develops many community outreach and crime prevention activities. Members are involved in several state-level board activities in the fields of crime prevention, child safety and welfare, education, safe driving, juvenile justice, and senior safety. Prevention Services also develops training and programs for MSP’s Community Service Troopers (CSTs). The section is also responsible for:
- MSP’s Angel Program
- Teaching, Educating, and Mentoring (T.E.A.M.) K-12 School Liaison Program
- Michigan Youth Leadership Academy (MiYLA™)
- Light Up the City Initiative
- Citizens’ Academy
- MSP’s Community Policing Plans
