Missing Persons Coordination Unit

The MPCU serves the Michigan State Police, criminal justice, noncriminal justice, governmental agencies, public safety officers, and the general public. Our intention is to provide exceptional missing persons and unidentified human remains investigative coordination support to law enforcement and the citizens of the State of Michigan.

Core Goals:

Goal 1: State-wide coordination support to Missing Persons and Unidentified Human Remains Investigations.

Goal 2: Provide a multifaceted training program on missing persons and unidentified remains to both law enforcement and the public.

Goal 3: Responsive Missing Children's Clearinghouse and support the Amber Alert Program.

Goal 4: Responsive Forensic Anthropological support to investigators searching for and recovering unidentified remains, as well as biometric data collection and identity assistance for said remains.
