RESTART Program
The Retired Engineers, Scientists, Technicians, Administrators, Researchers, and Teachers (RESTART) program goal is to move Michigan's manufacturing sector towards a low carbon future, ensuring industry is competitive in the marketplace.
This is achieved by encouraging industry and businesses to request on-site technical assistance. RESTART utilizes Michigan-based retired professionals to provide recommendations referenced from their on-site energy and sustainability assessments.
Annual report
In 2022, EGLE reinstated the formerly known Retired Engineers Technical Assistance Program (RETAP), and has partnered with Lawrence Technological University to provide the on-site assessments and technical assistance. This program is aimed for supporting institutions, government agencies, and businesses with 500 or fewer full-time employees.
