EGLE Public Participation Policy

EGLE’s Public Participation Policy (09 007) explains how the department informs and involves the public in decisions that affect Michigan’s environment, health, and communities. The policy outlines EGLE’s commitment to clear communication, environmental justice, accessibility, and meaningful involvement for all people. It also provides guidance on public notices, meetings, comment periods, and the many ways individuals, organizations, and community partners can share feedback on agency actions.
