For the public
We're here to help. You can find multiple reporting systems, contact information, district office locations, and more throughout our website. On this page, you can find resources for complex topics, educational tools, frequently asked questions, and more.
In addition to the content on our website, the general public has access to direct one-on-one assistance or referral to EGLE's network of technical staff by calling 800-662-9278 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Engage with EGLE
We welcome all Michiganders to engage with EGLE programs, staff, and processes – and value your contributions to protecting Michigan’s public health, air, water, land, and energy resources.
Permits
Through our permitting process, we strive to facilitate environmentally responsible economic growth. The permit process informs Michigan citizens of proposed activities affecting their community.
