Earth Day: Student Summit

Save the date: first annual Student Summit

On April 25, 2024, EGLE will host the first annual Earth Day Student Summit in partnership with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), Grow the Earth, and MSU Science Festival. This student-focused sustainability conference will feature breakout sessions, hands-on exhibits, and immersive field experiences to explore careers in the environment. 

EGLE will also announce the winners of the annual Environmental Service Award.

Where: Kellogg Conference Center, 219 S. Harrison Rd., East Lansing, MI 48824

When: Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

What to expect: This full-day event will bring together students from around Michigan to:

  • Learn about environmental and sustainability topics,
  • Share their work with each other, and
  • Explore careers in sustainability and the environment.

Who should attend: Students in grades 6-12. Priority will be given to students from Michigan Green Schools.

Cost: There is no cost to attend this event.
