The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) Water Well Viewer (WWV), is an interactive mapping system that displays water wells along with other information, such as wellhead protection areas, underground storage tanks, and sites of environmental contamination. Water well locations have been identified by address matching, the use of global positioning systems (GPS), and by legal descriptions.
This system allows water well drilling and pump installation contractors to submit water well records.
EGLE's interactive calendar is designed to provide timely information on decisions before the Director, proposed settlements of contested cases, administrative rules promulgation, public hearings, meetings and comment deadlines, and environmental conferences, workshops and training programs.

Over 300 students from 30 schools and districts attended the 2025 MI Student Sustainability Summit. The next MI Student Sustainability Summit will take place on May 8, 2026 at the Kellogg Conference Center at Michigan State University in East Lansing, MI.
The 2026 Summit will continue to showcase youth sustainability projects, with many opportunities for students to present, discuss their sustainability work, and network with professionals. Contact us at EGLE-Classroom@michigan.gov if your students are interested in presenting in 2026.
Through a series of interactive breakout sessions, engaging exhibits, and exploration of environmental careers, the summit seeks to educate, and inspire future leaders to become stewards of the Earth.
