The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) Water Well Viewer (WWV), is an interactive mapping system that displays water wells along with other information, such as wellhead protection areas, underground storage tanks, and sites of environmental contamination. Water well locations have been identified by address matching, the use of global positioning systems (GPS), and by legal descriptions.
This system allows water well drilling and pump installation contractors to submit water well records.
EGLE's interactive calendar is designed to provide timely information on decisions before the Director, proposed settlements of contested cases, administrative rules promulgation, public hearings, meetings and comment deadlines, and environmental conferences, workshops and training programs.

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) requires hazardous waste Treatment, Storage, and Disposal Facilities (TSD), and Large Quantity Generators (LQG) of hazardous waste, to submit a biennial report by March 1 of each even numbered year. The next biennial report submissions will be due by March 1, 2026, covering activities in calendar year 2025.
As in the previous biennial reporting cycles, EGLE will not be sending biennial reporting packets. Instead, LQGs and TSDs must report using the federal forms and instructions. Sites should submit their Biennial Report data electronically through the Biennial Report component of the United States Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) RCRAInfo Industry Application (RCRAInfo).
The EPA Hazardous Waste Information Platform’s Forms & Resources page and RCRAInfo Information Library contain the necessary instructions, forms, specifications, and additional resources needed to access RCRAInfo and submit your biennial report.
The federal Site Identification form (SI 8700-12, 8700-13 A/B, 8700-23) is not required to be printed for signature or submission. A signed copy of the Michigan Site ID Form (EQP 5150) is required.
The U.S. EPA Off-Site Identification form is not required by the State of Michigan. Completed EQP 5150 forms must be addressed to: BiennialReport@Michigan.gov. It is recommended for all forms to be emailed to prevent loss and time delays. If the forms cannot be emailed, please notify the email above that the documents are being mailed and use the following address:
