Nonpoint Source Watershed Planning Request for Proposals (RFP) Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Information

This funding opportunity is now closed. Applications are no longer being accepted. The documents linked below are for informational purposes only as future rounds of funding will likely use similar processes and guidance.

The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) requested proposals to develop new or update existing watershed management plans. Under this RFP, about $244,500 in federal Clean Water Act section 604(b) funding will be available for watershed planning projects.  Twelve proposals were submitted requesting about $1.1 million and offering about $215,000 in local match. These proposals are under review and selected projects will be awarded funding early this summer.

Applications were only accepted through EGLE’s new EGX Grant Management System.  A webinar was held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, to explain the FY 2024 NPS Program funding for watershed planning projects and the new EGX system. NPS staff discussed the grant application schedule, program priorities, eligibility criteria, application requirements, tips for successful applications, and answered questions from the audience.
