EGLE to host first State of the Western Lake Erie Basin Conference

Michigan's 2023 State of the Western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB) Conference will be held December 12 at the Adrian Tobias Center in Adrian, Michigan.

Join the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) for Michigan’s first annual State of the Western Lake Erie Basin (WLEB) Conference, where featured speakers will discuss topics related to phosphorus management in the Western Lake Erie Basin.  

Attendees will also hear about updates to Michigan’s 2023 Domestic Action Plan for Lake Erie.  

The Western Lake Erie Basin Science Panel will share their findings and recommendations for the Domestic Action Plan and serve on a panel to answer questions from conference attendees.

This event, which is open to the public, will be a forum for networking, discussion, and updates on phosphorus management in Michigan's portion of the Western Lake Erie Basin.

Attendees will include Conservation Districts, watershed councils, local and state government officials, agricultural organizations, environmental non-governmental organizations, and community members. 

The registration deadline is Nov. 29.
