January 17, 2024
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s (EGLE) recruiting efforts ramped up in the fall of 2023:
Cindy Whittum (r), EGLE's recruitment and internship specialist, with Marcie Brewer from the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget, at a recruiting event at Oakland University.
- EGLE attended 14 college/university career fairs, where recruiters connected with 395 individuals interested in careers and internships with the department.
- EGLE participated in four State of Michigan virtual job fairs, where recruiters connected with 209 individuals who expressed an interest in or wanted to learn more about the department.
- EGLE attended one professional association career fair, where recruiters connected with 27 professional engineers seeking new career opportunities.
In 2024, EGLE is on track to double its participation in recruiting events, says Cindy Whittum, EGLE’s recruitment and internship specialist.
EGLE is a great place to work if you are passionate about public service and protecting Michigan's environment. Check out the current job postings.
