EGLE's interactive calendar is designed to provide timely information on decisions before the Director, proposed settlements of contested cases, administrative rules promulgation, public hearings, meetings and comment deadlines, and environmental conferences, workshops and training programs.
The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) provides all persons (except persons incarcerated in correctional facilities) with access to public records of public bodies. Requests to inspect or receive public records from EGLE must be in writing and describe the requested records with enough detail to enable the department to identify and locate the requested records. Some records are exempt from disclosure under the FOIA or another statute and thus will not be provided. A fee may be charged to process your request. Please note that many records are available that do not require a formal FOIA request.

Spark new ideas and learn the latest in lake stewardship at the Michigan Inland Lakes Convention this fall.
This year’s convention will be held Oct. 2 to 4, in Grand Rapids. Lakefront property owners, lake scientists, industry professionals, policy makers, conservationists and anyone with a passion for Michigan's inland lakes are encouraged to attend.
The theme of the 2024 convention is “Working Together for Healthy Lakes,” and it will include 45 presentations and workshops that will engage, educate, and empower those who live and work on inland lakes. Join sessions on community stewardship, wake boats, riparian laws, watershed conservation, fisheries and more. Some of this year’s workshop topics include:

Critical water system upgrades are in the works in dozens of Michigan communities thanks to $1.05 billion in low-interest loans from the state revolving funds. The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) issued financing agreements to 72 projects in the Drinking Water and Clean Water state revolving funds across the state in fiscal year 2024.
