Join EGLE for this webinar and learn about the new hazardous waste standards adopted into Michigan’s regulations. On February 22, 2019, the United States Environmental Protection Agency promulgated federal hazardous waste pharmaceuticals rule to regulate the management these waste streams. As required under federal regulation, Michigan adopted the federal regulations into Michigan’s rules which became effective on May 5, 2025. The universal waste designation for pharmaceuticals was rescinded to meet the federal rulemaking mandate. Consequently, as of the effective date of the new rules, hazardous waste pharmaceuticals can no longer be managed as universal waste in Michigan. Join this webinar to learn about who is subject to these new rules, how to notify EGLE, and how these materials must be managed and disposed. In this webinar
