2025-09-03T10:00:00 2025-09-03T11:00:00 Overview of the 2026 MI Healthy Climate Fellows Program

The MI Healthy Climate Fellows (MHCF) program is seeking host partners and fellows for the 2026 cohort. This informational webinar, presented by the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s Office of Climate & Energy and the Community Economic Development Association of Michigan, will provide an overview of the MHCF program and the application process to be involved as a host partner or fellow.

Since the program launch in March 2024, the MHCF program has deployed 55 fellows at 50 organizations across the state to build climate action capacity in advancing the goals of the MI Healthy Climate Plan. The program pairs passionate fellows with Michigan communities to drive real climate solutions—like solar planning, composting programs, energy efficiency upgrades, and community resiliency planning. Host partners gain the talent and capacity to accelerate their climate action goals, while fellows receive career-building experience that prepares them to lead Michigan’s healthy climate future. Together, they’re creating lasting local impact and a more resilient Michigan.

Join the MHCF program and be the change we need for climate change! Applications for host partners are now open and close September 30, 2025, while fellow applications will be accepted starting October 17, 2025, through November 17, 2025. If you are a government or nonprofit organization on the frontlines of addressing climate change in Michigan and want to host a fellow, or if you might be interested in joining the MHCF program, you should attend this webinar.

After registering, you will receive an email from "EGLE Outreach" with a link for you to use to join the webinar.
