Motorcycle Safety Action Team
The Motorcycle Safety Action Team (MSAT) was established under the Governor’s Traffic Safety Advisory Commission (GTSAC) to serve as Michigan’s statewide forum for addressing motorcyclist safety. Meeting quarterly, the team brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including state agencies, rider organizations, law enforcement, training providers, industry partners, and safety advocates. Together they help to identify emerging issues, share data and perspectives, and coordinate efforts that support safer riding across Michigan. Through collaborative discussion and action planning, MSAT works to strengthen education, enforcement, engineering, and outreach strategies, ensuring that motorcyclist safety remains a unified, statewide priority.
