The health track breakout sessions on Wednesday May 11, 2022 are approved for both continuing medical education credits for physicians and nurses and EMS credits. The continuing medical education credits are provided by Western Michigan University. For more information regarding these credits, please see the information listed below. The following sessions are approved for credits:
- Healthcare Supply Chain Management
- Tactical Emergency Medical Support: It’s Role During Active Violence, Civil Unrest, and Other Critical Incidents
- Tribal Sovereignty and Emergency Preparedness
- Mass Fatality Planning and Michigan’s Fatality Management Plan
- The Problem of Increasing Violence Against EMS personnel
- Ethical Guidelines for the Allocation of Scarce Medical Resources
Physician and Nursing Credits:
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine and Bureau of EMS, Trauma and Preparedness. Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
