Goal: Actively promote and pursue diversity, equity, and inclusion to strengthen emergency management and homeland security.
- Develop and implement subrecipient civil rights compliance certification process.
- Provide technical assistance in all grant program areas.
- Expand and enhance the State Exercise Program for local and state response.
- Increase validation of Michigan Hazmat teams.
- Finalize and implement the Alternate State Emergency Operations Center and mobile office capabilities.
- Expand capabilities of the EMHSD to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
- Enhance the Professional Emergency Managers (PEM) program through continuous evaluation of classes and growth with participates.
- Expand the use of social media platforms to deliver timely preparedness and disaster messaging, strengthening communication and outreach between the state, local partners, and the public.
- Modernize the Michigan Critical Incident Management System with WebEOC Nexus.
- Establish new alternate SEOC site, update procedures, and test for readiness.
