Obtaining Help for LEIN
The DTMB MICJIN Help desk is available day and night to assist criminal justice agencies with any MSP provided application, including the Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) and the MSP MICJIN Portal.

LEIN Field Services Unit
The Law Enforcement Information Network Field Services Unit is available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (EST), to assist LEIN users resolve specific issues with LEIN, NCIC, or Nlets records or transactions. The LEIN Field Services Unit also handles investigations into policy violations and system misuse, applications for access to the LEIN, NCIC, or Nlets networks, and conducts background checks on all State Police employees and contractors. -
Access Control Unit
The Access Control Unit is responsible for managing access and programs within the MICJIN Portal and providing access to the State of Michigan network for criminal justice users.

Audit Unit
The Audit Unit is responsible for ensuring compliance with LEIN and NCIC policies, State and Federal statutes, and IT Security Policies through on-site audits. This unit is also responsible for LEIN Terminal Agency Coordinator (TAC) training, providing LEIN users with advanced training on LEIN/NCIC policies and statutes during an onsite audit.
