Community Benefits Plan
The Home Efficiency Rebates (MiHER) program and Home Electrification and Appliance Rebates (HEAR) Community Benefits Plans detail how Michigan’s home energy rebates program will accomplish the following objectives:
- Engage community and labor
- Engage and support a skilled and qualified workforce
- Incorporate diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA)
- Address the federal Justice40 Initiative, which established a goal that 40% of the overall benefits of certain federal investments, including the home energy rebates and other DOE programs, flow to disadvantaged communities
