Five Michigan cities are holding ride-and-drive events as part of National Drive Electric Week (NDEW). Attendees will have the opportunity to test drive various models of EVs, talk to EV owners, see vehicles on display, and learn about the latest in EV technology. Check the website for NDEW to find an event near you.

On Oct. 24 at the Michigan Capitol the Electrification Coalition is sponsoring a Medium- and Heavy-Duty Electric Vehicle Bootcamp and Display. It will highlight the benefits of medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicles—including delivery vans, buses, and tractor-trailers—and the policy opportunities for accelerating their deployment in Michigan. Attendees can also get a hands-on look at some of the latest electric models from bus and truck manufacturers.

Michigan is leading the way in electrification through efforts like the EV Jobs Academy, Charge Up Michigan, the Fresh Coast Maritime Challenge, and the creation of the world's first Binational EV Corridor.

Plug In America, the Electric Vehicle Association, EVHybridNoire, the Sierra Club and Drive Electric USA are organizing this year’s National Drive Electric Week, along with local partners.
