Email Filing Instructions
When submitting an email to the Unemployment Insurance Appeals Commission (Commission) , please follow the email filing instructions listed below:
Subject Line
For cases currently on appeal with the Commission:
In the Subject Line include the words Request to Submit Written/Oral Argument or Additional Evidence as applicable, Your Name and any and all related Commission Docket Numbers.
For cases already decided by the Commission:
In the Subject Line include the words Rehearing/Reopening Request. Also include Your Name and any and all related Commission Docket Numbers.
Text of your Email
For all submissions, in the body of the email, include the following information:
Your current address and a statement setting forth the reason for your submission. For example, if you would like to submit additional evidence, set forth why consideration of additional evidence is necessary for resolution of your case.
In writing your submission, you may wish to review the Rules for Proceedings before Administrative Law Judges and the Appeals Commission set forth in the LAWS section of the Commission website. The definition of good cause as used in these Rules is set forth in Administrative Code Rule 792.402(1)(d). Other helpful information is included in the LAWS and RESOURCES section of the website.

Appeal Deadlines
Please note that your appeal must be filed within the deadlines set forth in the ALJ or Commission decision. If you file by email, your submission will be considered filed on the date of your email as calculated in the Eastern Time Zone. You may wish to retain a copy of your email filing.
