Steps to Getting Access to the Child Nutrition Program Systems
A.) Everyone MUST complete Steps 1 - 3 FIRST:
1. Create a Michigan Education System (MEIS) account if you don't already have one. DO NOT create multiple MEIS accounts. HERE is a help document.
2. Create a MiLogin for Business account if you don't already have one. HERE is a help document.
3. Link your MEIS and MiLogin for Business accounts. HERE is a help document.
B.) If you need Next Generation Grant, Application and Cash Management (NexSys) access: (NexSys is the system that houses all the applications)
1. Request the Next Generation Grant, Application and Cash Management (NexSys) link in your MILogin for Business account. This link is a bridge from MILogin to the system. Having it does not give you access to the system. HERE is a help document.
2. If you need to be the NexSys level 5 you must fill out the NexSys System Security Access Form. HERE is the form.
a. Steps 1 - 3 of form: Your personal information and signature.
b. Step 4 of the form: Check the appropriate boxes and add replacement information if needed.
c. Authorized Signature: The person listed in the Educational Entity Master (EEM) who oversees the agency/organization signs here.
d. Email the completed and signed form to mde-nexsys-applications@michigan.gov.
3. If you need NexSys level 4 access: contact your agency/organization's NexSys level 5. They will need to add you:
a. First, to the organization. HERE is a help document.
b. Second, to the Coordinated Application and/o any other applications individually. HERE is a help document.
C.) If you need Michigan Nutrition Data System 2.0 (MIND 2.0) access: (MIND 2.0 is the system that houses all the claims)
1. Request the Michigan Nutrition Data System 2.0 (MIND 2.0) link in your MILogin for Business account. This link is a bridge from MILogin to the system. Having it does not give you access to the system. HERE is a help document.
2. Request specific program access. HERE is a help document. Be sure to complete Step 12 of the help document. This is the only way your access will be approved. All access is requested and granted at the agency/organization level.
3. Authorized Officials can approve access. HERE is a help document.
D.) If you need Grant Electronic Monitoring System / Michigan Administrative Review System (GEMS/MARS) access: (GEMS/MARS is the system that houses all the Review information and documentation)
1. Request the Grant Electronic Monitoring System / Michigan Administrative Review System (GEMS/MARS) link in your MILogin for Business account. This link is a bridge from MILogin to the system. Having it does not give you access to the system. HERE is a help document.
2. Request access to GEMS/MARS. HERE is a help document.
