What is the School Index System?
The Michigan School Index System is a school accountability reporting system used to identify schools for the federal school support categories defined in the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). View the School Index Overview using this link.

Michigan's Approved ESSA State Plan organizes schools identified for supports into three groups as described in each of the tabs below.
