Our team of specialists is excited to assist you with any questions you have about the educator workforce, including preparation, certification, placement, professional learning, educator evaluation, educator ethics and professional practices, and educator recognition programs.
Help desk phone assistance is available at 517-241-5000 Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 11:55 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:55 pm. Emails are read and responded to during normal business hours.
While we make every effort to avoid call wait times and respond to emails as soon as possible, there are times of the year that are busier than others. To best assist you, we recommend reflecting on the topic of your question and directing it to the appropriate email below. Please direct your question to only one of the email addresses. In addition to general Michigan Online Educator Certification System (MOECS) supports, such as password resets and navigation assistance, MDE-EducatorHelp can direct you to the expertise necessary to obtain and maintain MDE issued credentials, understand endorsements and placement, support the staffing of K-12 schools, and provide guidance on temporary credentials such as permits.
Educator Preparation Programs
EducatorPrograms is for college, university, and alternative route program personnel to communicate with OEE about new program applications and review, program revisions, and program closures. This inbox is also for reporting staffing changes at educator preparation providers.
Michigan Teacher of the Year
The Michigan Teacher of the Year serves as a representative and advocate for Michigan's more than 90,000 teachers, working with 9 fellow Regional Teachers of the Year as the Michigan Teacher Leadership Advisory Council (MTLAC) to share feedback and input on educational policies and initiatives with MDE and propose ways to enhance student learning.
