Funding for 10 Cents a Meal is included in the Fiscal Year 2027 State School Aid budget. For the current phase of FY 2027 funding, only public school sponsors are eligible to participate. This means non-public schools, childcare centers and homes, non‑school before and after school providers, and community service agencies are not eligible at this time.
Michigan Department of Education will share further updates on the program and the 2027 application as soon as possible.
