General Permit to Install Sources

- Anhydrous Ammonia Storage & Handling (Revised July 2009)
- Coating Lines Emitting up to Ten Tons per Year (10 TPY) of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) (Revised July 2009)
- Ethylene Oxide (EtO) Sterilizers
- This General Permit is not available at this time. Please call the Permit Section at 517-284-6802 with any questions.
- Natural Gas-Fired Burn-Off Ovens (Revised July 2009)
- Propane or Natural Gas-Fired Boilers (Revised July 2009)
- Remediation Processes for Gasoline & Petroleum-Based Contaminants (Revised July 2009)
- Diesel Fuel-Fired Engine Generators with Maximum Capacity of Five Megawatts (5 MW): This general permit is not being revised at this time. As of July 6, 2010, the general permit to install for diesel fuel-fired generators is suspended from use due to the new federal National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for nitrogen dioxide (NO2). Installation of a new diesel fuel-fired generator will require a case-by-case Permit to Install (PTI).

- Non-Metallic Mineral Crushing Plants (Revised August 2003): This general permit is not being revised at this time due to revisions to the federal New Source Performance Standards (NSPS). These regulations are under review and amendments to the general permit are pending. Until then, the general permit will continue to be used in the current format.
