Stormwater programs
The goal of Michigan's Stormwater Programs is to protect and preserve Michigan's water resources through pollution prevention measures. EGLE works to accomplish this goal through a two-step process. First, EGLE has been authorized by the Federal Environmental Protection Agency to manage a stormwater discharge permit program. Second, EGLE is implementing a compliance assistance approach to the permit program.
